Are you and your loved ones really storm-ready?

Hurricane preparedness is important for everyone that lives along the Gulf Coast, but individuals with disabilities and their families often need to take additional measures.   At the Arc of Greater New Orleans, we’ve created a handy guide outlining preparedness tips.

These tips offer helpful advice for:

  • preparing to evacuate
  • preparing for the power to go out
  • identifying special needs and accommodations ahead of time
  • arranging for assistant and support

Please don’t wait until it’s too late.  One of the most important tips for everyone preparing for storm season is to make a plan months ahead of an active threat, so everything is in order in case of a hurricane.
