Employment Services

Our Focus

ArcGNO is known to compassionately care for people with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays (IDD) of all ages, and an IDD diagnosis does not define those we care for.

We strive to create communities that are inclusive and accepting, and we encourage independence, self-esteem, and self-reliance that lead to a fulfilling and engaging life.

How We Help

Job Placement

ArcGNO provides individualized skills assessment and job placement in the community for our participants with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). We help those who qualify through Louisiana Rehabilitation Services and who desire to work at local businesses find competitive, integrated employment. ArcGNO also provides participants with ongoing onsite job coaching at their place of employment.

ArcGNO Social Enterprise Employment

ArcGNO provides employment opportunities to support businesses in commercial groundskeeping, janitorial services, and our Mardi Gras Recycle Center (MGRC). Through our social enterprises, we can employ those with IDD and provide a wage-earning job throughout the year.

Pre-Employment Transition Services

Preparing Students With Diabilities for Success Beyond the Classroom

ArcGNO believes every young person deserves the opportunity to explore and live their future with confidence. That’s why we walk alongside you and your child as they prepare for life after high school.

Our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program gives students with disabilities the tools, experiences, and confidence they need to succeed after graduation.

How We Help

Transitioning from high school to adult life can be overwhelming for young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Without the right support, students may leave school without the skills, confidence, or connections they need to succeed in work or further education.

Our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program changes that. We give students early exposure to careers, teach them to advocate for themselves, and help them see their place in the community — not just as students, but as future workers, neighbors, and leaders.

By supporting students before they graduate, we break cycles of exclusion and build a future where people with disabilities can thrive in inclusive workplaces, contribute meaningfully to society, and pursue the life they choose.

Pre-ETS is a state-funded program for students ages 14–22 with a documented disability. We partner with Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) and local schools to provide targeted support that prepares students for competitive employment or further education.
