Our Focus
ArcGNO provides support services for people with IDD who wish to live independently, whether it’s in their own apartment or living with loved ones. Our goal with Residential Support Services (RSS) is to encourage independence and help with inclusiveness in the community.
How We Help
ArcGNO provides 24-hour support staff to help with daily living skills as well as assist with emergencies. Through our Supported Independent Living Program, we provide various supportive services that encompass all aspects of independent living, such as:
Assist in finding safe, affordable housing and assuring that program participants live in the least restrictive setting possible.
Assist participants in living a self-directed life through an individualized model in meeting the participant’s specific needs.
Provide budgeting support for those who need assistance in managing their finances.
Offer training and life skill building both in the home and the community to promote independence.
Encourage individuals to participate in activities that align with their interests.
Other residential services
Respite Care
It is widely recognized that families providing care to a person with an intellectual disability are exposed to additional psychological and physical stresses. Family members need time away, to take care of personal needs or simply to renew themselves. To grant respite to these family caretakers, ArcGNO provides direct support to the individual with an intellectual disability for whatever period the family desires, provided this time is approved beforehand by the State.
Personal Care Services
For individuals with intellectual disabilities living with family, ArcGNO also provides support services that are designed to help them live more independently. These services are customized to the individual and intended also to provide opportunities to engage in social or leisure activities outside the home.
Support services are always customized to meet the needs of the individual.
