By Jill Egle, Uptown Community Center

I love Mrs Antoinette Hart because she is a true close friend. She is a genuine one of a kind leader within her role as a DSP at the Arc of Greater New Orleans Uptown Community Center. She helps me in so many ways to be positive and to be calm and most of all to let is go and never ever worry again and not to lose my mind every day.

The favorite thing I love to do with Antoinette Hart is to go line dancing and volunteer at second harvest food bank and go to Zumba and Holly Grove senior center. I love to spend quality time with her.

Mrs. Antoinette Hart has had a big impact and affected my life in so many good ways as a true powerful leader and positive person. Also honestly she has gone far and beyond to be there for me when I truly needed her most when I was down and needed her every day emotional support and she accepted me for who I am always and the powerful leader and person I am today.

This week we’re recognizing the Direct Support Professionals that help individuals with disabilities lead the lives they want in the community of their choosing. To show just how much our DSP’s mean to us, we asked certain ArcGNO participants to spotlight their favorite DSP.  This spotlight is written by participant Jill Egle. Antoinette Hart helps facilitate meaningful activities for adults with intellectual disabilities at our Uptown Community Center.
