Volunteer with ArcGNO

ArcGNO welcomes community members, professionals, and skilled labor to help us build a stronger community that advocates for and empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We have many volunteer opportunities available to brighten the lives of our participants.

Community Integration

Are you an organization or business looking to be more inclusive? Are you a musician, actor, or artist looking to share your talents? Do you work in health and wellness and want to help participants stay more active? ArcGNO needs you! We are a curious bunch eager to experience new things everyday. We are happy to facilitate your activity or event in one of our community centers, or we can take a group out to see you!

If you feel inspired with an idea that celebrates all abilities and want to collaborate with ArcGNO, please complete the form below.

Brick and Mortar

ArcGNO is a large non-profit organization that supports 600 individuals in the Greater New Orleans region, which leaves little funding to enhance infrastructure or beautify our facilities. We appreciate the help of anyone who can offer their time and services to help create a beautiful space for ArcGNO staff and the participants they’re dedicated to serving.

If you are an artist, electrician, mechanic, or carpenter looking to help build our community up, please complete the form below.

Mardi Gras Recycling

ArcGNO saved more than 160 tons of Mardi Gras throws from New Orleans drains and landfills in 2019. Now, we need your help to sort and package all these beads! The more recycled beads we sell, the more jobs we create for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Get to know how great it is working alongside people of all abilities by volunteering with our bead team in a fun and festive environment. This is perfect for your office, club, team, social group, or just on your own! Complete the Mardi Gras Recycling Volunteer form HERE.

Make a difference in your community and enjoy the rewards of volunteering with individuals that have unique abilities.

All volunteers must be at least 16 years or older. Individuals, who wish to volunteer on a long-term basis, will be required to complete a volunteer form and undergo a background check. There is a fee for this process.
